Macee

I sighed and walked around the store. Another typical day at work, nothing to do. "Macee, can you close up for tonight?" my boss says as he tosses me the keys. I nod my head to him, and look at the keys. "Sure," I sighed looking up at him. I loved my job, but I didn't like having to stay longer than expected. With him gone though, I was free to do whatever I pleased around the store. Once he was out of sight I walked over to the kennels that held all the puppies and fed/watered them. Then one, by one, I took them each out individually to play. My favorite was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, whom I called by the name, Bailey. She was so energetic, and spontaneous. I loved her so much. One day, when I saved up my money, I was planning on buying her.

Thane

I shook my hair, and grabbed my skateboard, riding it down the street. I wasn't exactly sure where I was heading, but I didn't want to hang around my house for long. It reminded me of mom, and I just couldn't stand the pain. I couldn't believe it had been exactly one year ago yesterday that she had passed away. It feels like it was just yesterday. Where did the time go?

Macee

I walked around the pet shop a bit, and played with Bailey some more, before putting her back, and going to clean the hamster cages.

Thane

I rode my skateboard down the street. Then out of no where a guy and girl appeared. I tried to stop but it was to late, I had already ran into the guy. "Sorry, man," I shook my head, and offered a hand to help him up.

Thane

He scratches the back of his head confused at what to say next. "Sorry," he gives a cheeky smirk. "I was just going to visit a friend at work," He picks up his skateboard and starts to skate away.

Macee

I turned around to see what appeared to be a couple standing in the doorway. I stopped my work and looked up to great them. "Hello, how may I help you?" I threw the dirty rag into the garbage and sanitized my hand.

Thane

I picked up my skateboard and walked inside the shop. I saw Ace and his sister there, and pretended to just walk by casually.

Macee

She smiled as she walked over to the kennels. "Right this way," She smiled holding the door open for the two. She pointed to a blue nosed pitbull, "Got her in today," She smiled.

Thane

I peeked around the corner of the entrance to see they were in the kennels. I walked into the store, looking around.

Jade

"Aww!" I sat down, and called her over, "C'mon." I let her come to me, she was friendly.

Ace

I noticed Thane, "Hey, dont I know you?" I asked him.

Macee

I smiled as the girl played with the pitbull, "she seems to really like you," I watched as the two played.

Thane

I rubbed the back of my head, "Uh..yeah," I looked up at him.

Macee

"She's $50," I tell the girl, and smile. "She doesn't have a name, but I called her Rocky," I smiled. I had a thing for naming all animals I saw.

Thane

I lowered my head and kept on walking through the store.

Jade

"I love it!" I smiled.

Ace

I pulled out my wallet and paid her, "What's your name?" I asked. I had to know since I would be back soon, plus she wasn't bad lookin'.

Macee

I smiled up at the dark haired boy, "I'm Macee," I blushed, and looked down to count the money. "Here's your change," I smiled.

Thane

I watched from a distance at the boy and the girl near Macee, and turned to 'look' at the ferrets.

Macee

"Thanks," I smiled and pushed a piece of my hair back behind my ear. "I like your names too," I shyly smiled.

Macee

I smile at him, "Nice to meet you too," I blushed, and looked at Thane as they walked out.

Thane

I walked over to Macee, and smiled. "Hey Mace."

Macee

I smiled and looked at Thane, "Hey."

Thane

"So you like Ace?" I smiled at her.
